Stanum: No need for 10 years, I already understand the impliation that olympics has on the economy of a country, just by looking at Aus and Greece (btw, how’s housing price in Australia doing? Just wondering); however, as some Northerners (esp. Scottish) had been criticising – it will benefit mostly the south and not the north, economically speaking. Also, there’s still a majority of tax payers who are reluctant to host the olympics here in London…they suspect the government now has an excuse to raise taxes.
