心血來潮拿出 DVD 重看上映時十分喜歡的 The Science of Sleep《戀愛夢遊中》。

主角 Stephane 他在父親死後一個人在墨西哥無親無故，與父親離異已久，長居法國的母親勸服他到法國，並替他找了工作。但刻版的工作與他原先預期的相去甚遠，於是他就沉醉在自己的幻想世界中，天馬行空。這時，他遇上鄰居 Stephanie，原來她也愛幻想，也是唯一一個相信他那些奇怪發明的人。有人覺得本片沒有結局，不算完整，但我覺得應該要當這電影是一個寓言，不需要深究情節的起承轉合，看到結局就會滿意得多。

正如很多自己喜歡的電影一樣，每一次重看都會發現一些之前從來沒有留意的細節。今次，我就特別留意到裡面插曲 If You Rescue Me ：

If you rescue me, I’ll be your friend forever,
Let me in your bed, I’ll keep you warm in winter,
All the kitties are playing and they’re having such fun,

But if you rescue me, I’ll never have to be alone again.

當年沒有特別留意，但細心聽著歌詞，才發覺是關於一隻貓希望有主人收留牠的心聲。難怪演員們都穿上貓服登場演唱。

不過，這首歌的旋律很熟悉，應該是一首老歌填上新詞。找了一會，知道原曲是 Velvet Underground 的 After Hours：

可能因為這是人的故事，歌詞寫得更「到」。
