2009 年一共觀賞了48齣電影，比 2008 年稍多。其中近半是在法國電影節（4齣）或雪梨電影節（15齣）觀看。

英語片有28齣，法語片有7齣，華語片3齣，西班牙語、韓語片各2齣，而德、葡、越南、西藏語電影各一齣。其餘兩齣是英語+華語，以及英語+印度語。

九個棧的電影今年只有六齣：《Moon》、《(500) Days of Summer》、《Adam》、《Star Trek》、《The Reader》、《The Curious Case of Benjamin Button》。

《Moon》和《Star Trek》是典型科幻片，其餘四齣都是愛情片。《The Reader》和《The Curious Case of Benjamin Button》都描寫一段纏繞一生的感情，比較沉重：而《(500) Days of Summer》和《Adam》則是人生中的一個片段，有悲有喜，調子輕鬆得多。Benjamin 和 Adam 有與生俱來的疾病，女主角都不計較而跟他一起。反而《The Reader》和《(500) Days of Summer》的男主角 Michael 和 Tom 都健康正常，但女主角卻突然離他們而去，令男主角深受打擊。只是，Tom 能夠爬起來，但 Michael 卻就此沉下去。

評分最低的就是西班牙語的墨西哥電影 Parque Via ，節奏緩慢，故事性除了片末「最後一擊」之外，差不多等如零，悶得差不多睡著了。而這一齣，又再一次是因為雪梨電影節而中招。
